Personal: Creative Exploration & Observation
Off the clock, I’m a writer (can you tell from my persistent use of em dashes?), photographer, and—fair warning—serial over-thinker (thankfully, I’ve got AI now to help keep it in check). My creative side is seemingly just another outlet for my nonstop pattern-hunting: from the tiny micro-patterns of daily life to the sweeping macro-patterns of human nature.
I’m driven by questions of identity and fit—constantly trying to line up disparate pieces. Perfect alignment is rare, but even so there are plenty of “aha” moments to find—that random line in a book that connects back to exactly what you and a friend were just talking about or the way the sun might lines up as the perfect halo over a young woman’s head. Nothing is promised but every moment is an opportunity for a fresh perspective. Too cliché?
